Qualifications
• Entries from people of all ages and nationalities are welcome.
• Rules pertaining to submitting artwork from outside Japan are listed below.
Jurying, Exhibition
•• All entries will be juried by Japan Print Society for acceptance into the exhibition.
• Selected artworks will be hung in the museum for the exhibition.
• The artist of the artwork judged to be the best of all the submissions will receive a prize.
Artworks
• All artwork submitted must be in print medium( Woodblock print, copper print, lithography, silk screen, etc)
• Furthermore, the entry must be new work that has not been exhibited before.
• One artist is allowed a maximum submission of three artworks.
Special Rules for those Submitting from Abroad Japan
1. Those submitting to the exhibition from outside Japan incur no entry fee.
2. Maximum sheet of paper size is 50cm×70cm.
3. When submitting artwork, it should be sent unframed.
4. Shipping Method ; Overseas entries should be sent by air mail, for example Express Mail Service (EMS), marked as "Printed Matter" and bearing the declaration for customs: "No Commercial Value-Exhibition Only". Important Notice: Do not indicate a value for the goods.
5. Insurance of artwork for the exhibition and for shipment is the responsibility of the applicants.
6. All insurance and shipping costs or any additional expenses related to the delivery of any work should be borne by the entrant.
Other Pertinent Information
7. Once submitted, you may not get your artwork back for any reason until the end of the exhibition.
8. While great care is taken to preserve the submitted work, if the artwork comes to be damaged by accident or disaster, Japan Print Society or its members cannot be held to be blame.
9. During the exhibition, the artwork will be displayed not framed or temporary framed.
10. Please mail artwork with the “PRINT LABELS” attached firmly with tape to the left corner of the BACK of EACH work along with the completed “ENTRY FORM”.
11. Submitted works are assumed have been donated to the Japan Print Society and cannot be returned.
12. Works should be sent to the following address to arrive after 20 September but no later than 20 October 2010. |
